Love this place. They serve the best gf onion rings and mushy pea fritters I've ever tried. My partner and I are both coeliac, so it was refreshing to see a whole gluten free menu. Either takeaway or sit down in the restaurant. Everything tasted fresh. It's a shame I live so far from here!

We've live localish and was happy to hear of this chippy serving GF recently. I am coeliac myself. I will give it 5 stars for the taste and quality. Freshly cooked and very very tasty but it ends there.... we book In advance online, so surely when we arrive our order is ready or there abouts. First few waiting times were 10-20 mins. After that was 40 mins. The most recent visit one hour wait. I don't understand and its highly stressful. The whole point in us getting a takeaway is to be done earlier at home, or that's one bonus at least... We pick the time slot for 6.10 and we not eating until going on 8pm! We live 20 mins away but still we should be home by 6.30 / 6.40. This service is unacceptable. A one off maybe but every time now. Any order online should be priority and ready for when that customer arrives. If the customer is not there that is their fault but the orders should be made and ready either way. Another thing also is that you are only told when you arrive that something isn't available. Is there not a way for it to be struck off the menu? We travel 20 mins each way to wait an hour then come away with unfilled orders and the night is later than if we were cooking at home ourselves. It's a huge let down to such an amazing tasting chippy and the best one to us now for that. But massively put off knowing we could be in there over an hour waiting 😣
