The incredible location, between the peristyle of Diocletian's Palace and the Temple of Jupiter. Good atmosphere, tastefully decorated place, tremendously friendly staff and homemade food, with lots of good flavors. We tried the chorizo ​​nachos and the ropa Vieja tacos, good portions and very delicious. You can only pay in cash. They had gluten-free options (their patatas bravas, the tacos, and the nachos). It may not be the cheapest in Split, but I understand that you also pay for quality, especially in a good Mexican (fusion), which is almost harder to find. We would return without a doubt!

First thing to note is that like many places in Croatia they only take Cash. The place is small and tucked away down beautiful side streets. It's popular too because the food is gorgeous and the price is right, so expect to queue. I spoke to the staff about gluten-free options and they checked if I was coeliac, so off to a good start. There are a number of items on the menu that are suitable for coeliacs and if you're gluten intolerant there are a broader range of dishes available as one ingredient used in other dishes has a may contain clause on the packaging. The normal tortillas have wheat flour so make sure to talk to your waiter and they will give you the 100% corn ones. We had the patatas brava to start and one was a good size portion to share. The chorizo was a pleasant surprise as it's a dry style and this went well with potato wedges and sauces. For main I had the carnitas and my friend had the nachos. The portion was really decent with plenty of filling and side garnishing. Everything was full of flavour and the meat was tender and juicy. We had planned to get margaritas but ended up too full! However looking at other tables they certainly looked good and seemed to be going down easy. All in all a very good experience and the staff are very attentive in a nice balanced way.
