Toby Carvery Trowbridge

It was enjoyable. The member of staff was polite but I had to ask her for the disclaimer as I have to be gluten free. She did offer the allergen menu but I have had better staff there. Overall I enjoyed it.

Hopefully just caught them on an 'off' day. There were only 2 Carvery meats available and, apart from carrots & green beans, veg was limited - even the roast spuds! More Yorkshire puds were brought out but they were cold and the vegetarian gravy (gluten free also) had obviously been there a long time. We had enough to eat but it wasn't the best quality. Staff were helpful but rushed. When asked, one said they could have done with an extra chef, server and wait person but customer numbers were unpredictable so food stock levels can't always be judged successfully. A reasonable explanation but not a problem I've come across at my local Toby in Poole, Dorset. Lack of meat choice was explained to other customers as they arrived and many did choose not to stay.
