Boy this is a really unique Mexican Style restaurant. It looks great, the staff was friendly and the food was really good. It is very angled toward healthy and clean foods, veggie options and vegan offering are a significant portion of the menu.
The menu is a little daunting, the descriptions of the food is a little confusing, many of the dishes are described in a way that is not typical. I would call it a little hard to approach, and I think that may set some people off. It is worth talking with the order taker to understand how to order.
Someone here described it as an expensive Chipotle, I don't think that is really a helpful description. You won't get a gut buster burrito with beans and chips here, at least not the Chipotle type. What is Chipotle like is the idea of selecting the dish then the protein then the flavoring, but it is so not standard Mexican. It invites you to experiment.
The Guiltless Gluten Free Quesadilla was really good, we had it with chicken and it was creamy and filling. Also Tostada Salad with Chicken, it was so big it was almost intimidating, but I ate it all, the black beans and the citrus vinaigrette were tangy and soothing at the same time.
The Guac and Chip side was enough for three of us to share, and uniquely included pomegranates, a tangy addition. Also had the margarita, which we all enjoyed. It was less sweet than expected, but that is not a bad thing.
The style is Fast Casual, order at the counter and deliver to the table. I would have liked a little more attention from the servers, it took away from the experience a bit, made it 4 stars instead of 5. It was a busy night, but that's not unusual or an excuse not to follow-up with the guests.
The style is very modern, and fun. Display kitchen, lots of stainless and lights. Terrific patio, and effective heaters to ward off the evening chill. Will definitely be back.
