Toll House Inn

Unfortunately no gf markings on the menu so needed to email ahead however they were quick to reply and listed safe options (I’m both- gluten free and vegetarian). Food was delicious, beer garden is lovely and staff was super helpful and friendly. Will definitely be back!

We have stayed and eaten here, off and on, for a few years now. It may not be the cheapest place to do either, but undoubtedly the quality is worth the extra. This year we have lunched twice during our visit to Lancaster and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The food has been delicious. We fully intend to return for another lunch before we leave. The staff have been lovely and the food spot on - interesting and imaginative twists to some dishes, but other standard favourites. Beware the chicken burger: it's huge! My wife is coeliac, which can be a pain when we dine out, but at the Toll House it is no problem and she feels like a 'normal person' due to the effort made to give her a good choice of menu options that are tasty and available without fuss. Top marks! If there is any criticism I would say that the wine list is a tad(?) expensive. A very pleasant place to dine.
