Toodyay Bakery

No visit to Toodyay is complete without a visit to its bakery! Located in Toodyay's main street, the bakery is in a rustic old shop brimming with character. The choice of baked goodies is a sight to behold. I love the apple strudel and the jam donuts have just the right jam-to-donut ratio. Those with gluten intolerance can indulge as well, with plenty of GF options (including carrot cake, florentines, and chocolate slice). The have various breads, buns and ciabatta as well. A variety of pies are available along with tea and coffee. However, it does attract a throng of customers. So many that customers have to enter in one door and exit from another. It is difficult to see what's on offer in the display cabinets and you feel pressured to make you choices quickly. Seating is available upstairs (not sighted) and on the pavement out front. Watch the world go by in a quaint country town while you polish off your bakery haul.
