To stay safe with a dairy allergy I ordered a salad and a bowl of chips.
Once the food arrived I thought I would double check and asked if the menu items I had ordered were dairy free. To be told I couldn't eat the chips because one fryer is for gluten free and the other general use. Both fryers are used for dairy items. Consideration for G/F but definitely not a dairy allergy or vegan diet.
So beware to double check to avoid a serious situation.
Especially as the menu states these items were vegan with V symbol.
I was refused a refund on the £4.50 chips which were left untouched. I was told by a lady server that 'if i had wanted dairy free chips i should have asked before ordering'. My plates were taken without even a mention of an apology or thank you. I will not be returning
