We visited the cafe on a Sunday for lunch. My wife is Coeliac so we checked what gluten free they had available. Gluten free bread was available for sandwiches. There was also jacket potatoes, ham, egg and chips, a ploughman's and the halloumi burger with the bun subbed GF bread. The sausages were not GF despite them selling a lot of GF sausages in their own butchers, which was a bit of a shame and the burgers were not gluten free either.
My wife had the ham, egg and chips and it was good quality ham and eggs and a generous portion. I had the breakfast bap with chips (non GF) and it was delicious and well cooked. Service was quick and very friendly (ordering was from the counter and there was a table to help yourself to cutlery). We also had tea for two (soya milk was available for my wife) and an absolutely delicious fresh orange juice made from whole oranges on the premises. We finished with a slice of gluten free lemon drizzle to share which was outstanding but it was their only gluten free cake.
All in all it came to just under £30 which was very reasonable. We would definitely come again when we're in the area.
We also noticed a small play area outside for smaller children which was a nice touch.
We also briefly visited the shop next door afterwards and they have a selection of 5 different gluten free sausage varieties so we bought a few to try. We haven't eaten them yet though but I'm hopeful they'll live up to the cafe experience.
