We chose this place as it was reported by Google as a restaurant with gluten-free options.
The bitter reality is that no starter or dessert was available. When we reported the absolute lack of gluten-free desserts (although there were panna cottas and sorbets), it was pointed out to us that the restaurant offered pasta as a gluten-free first course... Packaged pasta and which, therefore, implies a fairly low commitment and attention towards celiac customers, considering that, now, it is a service offered by almost all restaurants (I speak from personal experience in Italy and abroad).
Having gluten-free desserts on the menu does not imply having products specifically formulated for celiacs (and, therefore, subject to the request of a specific clientele), but, rather, desserts that can satisfy all palates (e.g. panna cotta, creme caramel, caprese cake, etc.).
The sense of embarrassment was indescribable while the others ate first the appetizer and then the dessert, while I remained to watch.
For a restaurant that appears with "gluten-free options", I definitely expected more.
