Trenchers

Super aware staff. As soon I mentioned needing gluten free food, they knew exactly what they needed to do and the range of options was much wider than I am used to finding. I had the Seafood Chowder and it was really good. Looking at other dishes being prepared, you would be amazed at the attention to detail in the presentation. Highly recommend Trenchers.

Lovely food as ever & gluten free for a family member

When you have fish and chips maybe a couple of times a year, and you're gluten free, and (finally) you happen to be in Whitby, then there's one place to go ... Trenchers! This stunning restaurant, which overlooks The Endeavour, always has a queue outside, which is a good sign. Once inside, you're taken straight to a table and your order is taken. I opted for a gluten free cod (small), and gluten free bread and butter. I even got a gluten free vinegar and tartare sauce - delicious! The service was quick and efficient and the fish and chips were amazing. The decor is a mix of mirrors, granite-style table and Tiffany-style lamp shades. Trenchers is firm favourite and if you're gluten free and like a rare treat, then this is a must.
