The food was amazing. I am gluten free and had the Mahi tacos and beans. Very fresh ingredients. I can't wait to go back and try the chowder.

This restaurant is a winner. I can’t wait to go back the next time we are visiting the coast. The Nicaraguan menu has something to offer everyone. I ordered the fritanga with pork. A wonderful plate that includes the plantains as one of the elements. The pork was tender and flavorful. We shared a skillet carrot cake for dessert and with the first bite I wished we had ordered two. I also want to recognize that their menu is primarily gluten free, including dessert. Only two menu items contain gluten, the children’s mac and cheese and crackers for the chowder. But the chowder is gluten free. The owners were so nice.

Tres Bros is a must visit if you are in the Astoria area!! Seriously one of the best meals we have had while visiting! We had the Chancho Frito plate and it was phenomenal … the pork was cooked to absolute perfection and all the accompaniments were awesome! The Maduro con Frito was equally delicious … the combination of pan fried plantains with queso fresco and picado were amazing! We finished the meal with the gluten free carrot cake … definitely save room!! Both desserts are delicious, but the carrot cake presentation is so pretty … and the dulce de leche takes it to the next level! A family run restaurant with excellent service is the cherry on top! This restaurant is a don’t miss!!
