The staff is outstanding. Both in the front and in the kitchen!
I have a gluten intolerance, and of course I mentioned that beforehand. On the day of our reservation, the chef contacted me and asked specific questions again. I've never experienced that anywhere in the world. Thank you very much for so much attention and sense of responsibility! I felt extremely comfortable.
In the service itself, people work with passion, you can tell that from the first to the last minute. Advertising is lively, creative and humorous. It's not as casual as in Nobelhart & Dirty, nor as stiff as in Le Grand Vefour. The service really makes you happy and puts you in a good mood (even if you were miserably sick that evening).
The food itself was excellent. Shellfish hollandaise and oyster were certainly the highlights.
We were in the restaurant for a total of over 4 hours, which was a bit too much for my companion.
We had decided on a non-alcoholic drink accompaniment and were very pleased that there were mainly self-created and also self-made drinks. That's really great.
However, all accompaniments were semi-fermented or fermented. This means that everything was fermented drinks, which at some point is far too much for digestion and, above all, for taste. All that acid overstimulates the taste buds. As I said, the drinks were very creative and homemade, but you can't drink something highly acidic all evening.
Price is definitely not our main focus when visiting a restaurant (it just has to be right). But we paid €600 for 2 people, including additional cheese and the aforementioned non-alcoholic accompaniment. I'll say it a bit casually: We didn't have any freshwater shrimp on our plate. ;) Compared to the cost of goods sold, the price is very competitive.
We can definitely recommend a visit to Tulus Lotrek. But drink alcohol - the sommelier enjoys what he does. 🙏🏻👍
