Really enjoyed our evening out at Tupelo Honey. They have a fair number of gluten free and other dietary needs selections.

This restaurant is a gem! Always delicious entrees, unique cocktails and a fun lively atmosphere. Order the cast iron pork,.....🤤, with grits and collard greens. My partner ordered the beef brisket served on a bed of arugula and grits. Also ordered crispy Brussels sprouts appetizer and the peach & pineapple sangria and in house ginger beer drinks. The pork had a tender texture that flaked off and melted in my mouth. It seemed to have a salty taste, could it be from brining it before slow cooking? I received reports that the brisket was very tender and delicious, seasoned well and paired nicely with the arugula and grits. The appetizer was a miss. Majority of the sprouts were just steamed and not crispy at all. However, it was one of the two items that were gluten free- the other was the pimento cheese and chips. The beverages were prepared well and refreshing. The flavors mixed well together and we're not overly sweet or overpowering. I would recommend maybe increasing the size of the well drinks to reflect the cost of these beverages. The sangria was served in a small stemmed wine glass. The entree portion sizes were spot on. Cleaned everything on my plate and was pleasantly satiated from the meal. The restaurant was clean and neat. Service was pleasant however not very attentive. We were seated, served, finished eating, and paying our check within a 30 minute time frame. A little too quick and efficient for our tastes. It felt as if our server wasn't interested in our experience and just wanted us to eat and get out. A reservation is recommended during the more busy times. We made ours for 7:00 PM. Shortly after we were seated the dining area was filled to capacity with a few waiting to be seated.
