GLUTEN FREE FRIENDLY
The Manager was very helpful and welcoming and, holy of holies in the modern age of hospitality, actually answered the phone (and promptly), even during the lunchtime rush hour, to my pre visit enquiry. And, as someone who has just been medically diagnosed with C (o)eliac Disease (not just "Gluten Sensitivity") on top of a variety of other autoimmune issues, like Mold Toxicity, their Gluten Free options were a huge plus. Particularly their wholegrain Gluten Free bread which actually tasted, by and large, like a reasonably nice bread. Rather than sub par cardboard. General service and atmosphere both 100 percent. And the only reasons I was struggling to even give the place 4 Stars, overall, were the facts that the health benefits of the gluten free options were rather undermined. Both by the distinctly oversaltedness of my scrambled eggs on gluten free toast. And the absence on their menu of Lactose Free milk (the ubiquitous presence of the hugely overrated...and oversugared, Milk (F)lab brand of Almond Milk does not make up for this omission I'm afraid). Way, way better than most for Celiacs and other alike. But why cater for Gluten Free but not Lactose Free?
