Our travel advisor arranged for us to have a wine & olive oil pairing tasting at Uje. We found it extremely informative & the wine, olive oil & accompanying food was all excellent. Our hostess led us carefully through each wine & olive oil pairing, helping us distinguish the flavors in each & how they enhanced each other. The wine choices were excellent — all Dalmatian wines that were excellent on their own & also paired well with the olive oil. The food with each pairing was fresh & delicious & in generous portions, & the hostess was attentive to our dietary restrictions, bringing gluten free bread & substituting out seafood for other proteins for one of us with a seafood allergy. All-in-all, we would highly recommend this tasting for guests who want a deeper understanding of olive oil & the bounty of Dalmatia.
