Umi Japanese Steakhouse & Sushi Bar

If you are gluten-free, double-check that your food is in fact made without gluten, my partner was unfortunately glutened. I called ahead to ensure there was a gluten free menu, got there and double checked that there was one, was assured that they made gluten free food right before placing our take out order. It took about 30 mins for food to come out, which is understandable as it was a Sunday night, so we thought if the food took that long and people who came after us got their food before us, surely they took care to prepare the food carefully, but sadly it did still have gluten. We informed the restaurant and they did offer to resolve the issues, so there is that.

I can't have gluten and can't have rice or soy. They were very creative in making me the type of sushi roll I wanted that was safe to eat and very delicious. Do wish they would bring back the green tea and red bean ice creams.
