Uncle Bo's Haleiwa

Their gluten free primevera pasta changed my life. I will forever live in regret that I don't live in Hawaii and can't have this every single day for the rest of my life.

The food was absolutely amazing, especially the fish of the day. We sat outside and loved that there was a cat chilling out there with us. They have a gluten free menu and did a great job modifying things to make them gluten-free. The white gummy bear shot was amazing!

The lady that sat us was super nice and knowledgeable when I asked for a gluten free menu. After we were sat, we had 3 different people trying to help us (I think there was confusion on who’s table it was, which is fine, it happens), it took probably 15 minutes to get our order in to our actual waitress. Once we had our order in, about 5-10 minutes later we were told they were out of gf noodles for the pasta's, I got the gf menu again and tried to order an omelette or burger. Their gluten free menu was not labeled for any time limitations and the section labeled “sandwiches” (where the burger was) was apparently only for lunch & their “brunch” is only brunch time I guess, leaving only pastas and salads for dinner? It was confusing. The lady we were speaking to was nice and apologetic about the situation and we settled on an omelette. Before I got my “second” order in, they still brought out my husbands meal. He was finished eating before I got my mine but he liked his food. I finally got my gf omelette & home fries and they went ahead and comped my meal for the situation which we were grateful for. And my meal was still good. Beyond the miscommunication in servers & the whole gf situation, the place was nice and the people were still friendly.
