Underground Bakery & Cafe

Tucked away behind the busy buildings in the front and down the stairs hoping that I wasn't entering a speakeasy breakfast joint. Whoa, clean, well lit, cozy (that was important for my mood on that day) and seated promptly. The tourists have all gone home. I couldn't stop ordering it was so deicious. On a self expressed dare, I ordered the pancakes. No one makes pancakes like mine, I perfected the technique during my broke college days. The batter was mixed fresh so it would rise properly and mixed just right so the gluten didn't develop. After all the fears of possible technical failure that so many restaurants are guiulty of, my pancakes with real maple syrup arrived and won my endorsement. I presented them with a metal; it was my amex card, but I did so happily. I recommend this place, come and enjoy!

MO’s arcade recommended this place to us one night so the next morning we went for breakfast !! Let me tell you that this is one of the best places we have been in the area and we have been in North Conway for the last 20 Years !! My daughter is gluten free and they were very willing to accommodate her needs and the food was delicious!!! APC , JDR and Ashleigh!!!
