Underground Pizza Baltimore

This place is right in the middle of the Harbor district, inside of Power Plant Live. There is a good amount of seating inside and outside. The staff were so quick and very attentive. We went on a very busy Saturday night and still got 10/10 service. It is very loud though. The music is at such a high volume, you are going to have to shout any conversation you try to have with your table mates. I really hate that at restaurants, I wasn't to enjoy my food and the company. The food though! Gluten free AND vegan pizza that tastes good??? I've hit the lotto! The crust is crispy on the outside, soft and chewy on the inside. It was cooked so well. The cheeze is melty and there is a generous amount (every vegan knows the struggle of getting upcharged for vegan cheese and then only getting like 10 shreds.) The vegan pizzas are a dollar or two more than the regular menu and there is a $4 I for the gluten free crust. Only the half size can be made gluten free, but the half size is a large portion of pizza. The vegan menu is extensive. There are several pizzas that can also be made gluten free and they are clearly marked on the menu, so there is no guessing or having to play 20 questions with the staff. They have dairy free ice cream! I did not order it this time but will have to try it next time. The only thing this place is missing is a dedicated gluten free fryer, so I could order some of their loaded fries.

A few weeks ago I stopped by here to order a pizza while at an event…… now I have a slight addiction. Hands down the best vegan and gluten free pizza EVER! I don’t mind driving 30 minutes to have some. The crust and vegan cheese is PERFECT!

This is my fav pizza place in the city! My sister, who has celiac, was in town visiting and we brought her here for lunch and she said underground pizza’s gluten free pizza was THE BEST gluten free pizza she has ever had!
