We ended up at Urban Grub after finding out the wait at a nearby breakfast spot was 2.5 hours for 2 people- yikes! Whisper was our server and she was amazing! So personable and sweet. She was also able to help my celiac friend navigate the menu and even offered options for substitutions. My friend ordered the shrimp and grits which was FANTASTIC. I ordered the Oscar Bennie which was OK. The crab comes cold and on the side, which was odd, but the crab was tasty nonetheless. The hollandaise was flavorless, although it was advertised as being “citrus”. I got it with a side of Gouda grits, which were so yummy. Overall, pretty happy with our experience! And kudos to our server, Whisper!

We loved, loved LOVED our experience at urban grub. The waiter shared with us the restaurants experience with gluten free items, and that the head chef was especially dedicated to ensuring that gluten free options are available and delicious. Cue the amazing gluten free bread. We dined in through reservations on open table. We weren’t disappointed with a single thing on the menu! We got the oysters to start which were absolutely to die for, tomahawk steak for dinner and indulged in the man and cheese.
