Urth Caffe Melrose

Right in LA and checking out the gluten free goods so we had to try the infamous Urth Cafe. We got the vegan gluten free pumpkin pie to start. It was amazing. I may have to get it again tomorrow before I leave. Great texture and flavour and it totally hit the spot! Next up was the gluten free corn waffles. I'm not into corn so I picked it up but the fruit, syrup and texture all were amazing. We also got a pistachio latte and it was sort of good. Not sure if I loved it. But it's great if you like pistachio? Highly recommend for my gluten free homies 👍💪

I went to Urth Caffé for a casual meeting with a colleague and was pleasantly surprised by the experience. I was expecting a very “sceney” LA spot—bustling, loud, and a little chaotic—but at 2:30 on a Friday, it was surprisingly mellow and chill. You order at the counter, and while the process felt a bit like a machine (efficient but impersonal), the outdoor seating made up for it. The garden-like vibe with floral touches is really pleasant and gives the space a relaxed charm. The food was flavorful and definitely gluten-free-friendly, which is a big plus. I got the New Yorker sandwich as a wrap, and while the flavors were great, I would have liked a bit more meat in there. It wasn’t a dealbreaker, but it left me wanting just a little extra. Overall, it’s a solid spot if you’re looking for a quiet, garden-y café with good gluten-free options. Perfect for casual meetings or a laid-back afternoon.

One of my favorite causal lunch spots in West Hollywood. Time it right and you’ll have minimal wait. I love their Greek salad, they’ll sub out the normal bread for gluten free bread. Always a plus! Their boba teas are delicious and refreshing, they can use plant based milk in them for those avoiding dairy. I’ve heard amazing things about their baked goods as well!
