Service was shocking with trainee waitrons not able to understand dietary requirements combined with a lack of options if you require gluten free topped off by them adding a 12.5% tip for a table of two…. Very disappointing. This was midweek for breakfast.

It's a restaurant in what must surely be a wonderful and iconic venue, just 50km outside the Cape Town CBD. Food is decent and service is pretty sharp - even when there are crowds.
In terms of diversity, it's not great at all - they need to do more to attract a more diverse crowd that perhaps reflects the diversity of the server staff.
Food is expensive and it's not as if you're getting massive portions.
There is a good selection of gluten free options for those who want it and it would be helpful if there were better paved pathways to cater for those using wheelchairs.
The venue also should work well for summer and winter diners. But summer wins, hands down
