Valentino's Restaurant

Wow! What an absolute gem of a place! Best pizza I've had in the UK. Reminded me of some of the best from when I lived in Italy! I had the excellent Valentino's Pizza and it was fantastic. Wonderful, super thin base, really flavoursome tomato sauce and quality toppings! However, I think it was my wife's meal that stole the show. A lot of places these days offer gluten free pizzas but their bases are often shop bought and feel like an afterthought, not so here. Really great quality, delicious base that you wouldn't know was gluten free. She had the Isolana pizza which was a serious, grown up affair. Rich, deep and savoury putanesca style sauce with delicious big salty anchovies. It was so, so amazing! The staff were super friendly and attentive, even turned on the radiator for us because we were a bit chilly. Prices are reasonable and the atmosphere was great. It easy to see why this place is so popular!

Highly recommend this for its position, easy parking, availability of electric car chargers, excellent staff, lovely room, spotlessly clean, fantastic food, knowledge of coeliac diet requirements. Just brilliant and good value for money. We would certainly stay again if we head north.
