Vandy's Grille

First, I’d like to say that the staff and service at Vandy’s is exceptional. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable on my dietary restrictions (celiacs). However, this is at least our third or fourth time giving the food a chance. Each time we have sent our meals back because they are inedible. My husband ordered the Tennessee hot fried chicken sandwich (pictured). He took one bite and couldn’t eat anymore. It was a frozen, thin, dry breaded chicken patty that was drenched in DRY seasoning. So much seasoning you could literally blow it off. It looked repulsive and tasted repulsive. I ordered a $16 burger that came out with a still frozen gluten free bun and a clearly pre frozen patty. If I’m paying $16 for a burger, at least make sure the patty is freshly made not frozen. McDonald’s makes a better burger. Unfortunately, we will not be ordering food from there again. I think we have learned our lesson and given the restaurant enough chances to get their kitchen in order. Just doesn’t look like it’s ever going to happen.

Beautiful view inside and out. Very friendly and knowledgeable waitress. Awesome gluten and dairy sensitivity options. Definitely will be back! I had a broiled walleye sandwich on gluten free bun and husband had ribs which he’s pretty particular about and he loved them!
