Our Probus group goes here for lunch sometimes and I have also been a couple of times with both daughters and friends. Everything is cooked on the premises and very fresh. They have an extensive menu catering for all tastes, including gluten free. There is also some of the sweet treats packaged so you can takeaway to enjoy at home at your leisure. The staff are friendly and always helpful. There is also a great display of homewares to purchase for gifts.

When you’re a coeliac, your world shrinks and it’s very difficult. My friend knew this and very kindly booked a venue for her baby shower that could cater for allergies. I phoned four days prior to confirm with the cafe that they could do a coeliac-safe high tea for the event, and my friend also confirmed via phone and text message. Each time they confirmed that because we had given them notice it would be fine. I drove 40 mins there only to be told, “We weren’t told and can’t cater for you”, and was only able to eat an overpriced salad (at 10am!). Really awful reminder of how hard it is to be coeliac, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone as a result.
