Vega cafe

Delicious western-thai fusion food with heaps of vegan (and gluten-free) food selection. Each dish is uniquely curated, most dishes have a mixture of different ingredients resulting in interesting flavours. Good and friendly service!

Ordered the 4 O’Clock for takeaway during lunch and was not too impressed unfortunately :( I checked the gluten free option and expected the tortillas to be replaced with gluten free tortillas, since the place is quite gluten friendly, but they replaced the tortilla wrap with 2 slices of bread which wasn’t what I was expecting and made for a bit of a messy meal! I definitely would have tried something else if I had known they didn’t have gluten free tortillas. The vegan meat itself was quite delicious, and I enjoyed the flavour of the food, but everything was a tad oily for my tastes. Maybe will give another try to a different dish next time!

Vega Café is AMAZING! Some of the best vegan food and almost the whole menu is able to be adjusted to be GF as well! As a celiac you never know if restaurants are going to be able to fully accommodate you, but Vega Café most definately can! I can't recommend this place more, we ended up going at least once a day for our whole holiday because it was just that good! And, they have a great variety in cuisines, so no matter how many times you go, you won't get tired of it! Thank you Vega for being so accommodating and for the *amazing* food!
