Vero Bistro Moderne

The food at Vero is incredible, but it is not as gluten free friendly as I was told over the phone. I called in advance to ask if the menu is gluten free friendly and was told that almost everything can be made gluten free. I didn't feel that was the case. There are no gluten free bread or pasta options at all and the fries are dusted in flour, so while the prosciutto appetizer was amazing, the other appetizer options weren't really available as gluten free. We also got the burrata but it would have been much better with gluten free bread. The same applies to mains- a few can be made gluten free but that means no frites with the steak frites. The steak was delicious and the prosciutto appetizer is worth the trip, but overall I wouldn't recommend the restaurant to those with gluten allergies.

Amazing small, cozy restaurant in Kensington! The chef easily accommodated Gluten and Dairy food restrictions. The staff was wonderful. Would definitely go again.
