food was very good apart from one dish gluten free pasta was hard and dish returned second dish was the same. apart from this the pizzas were excellent and starters very tasty. i highly recomend the chicken wings. overall well worth a visit and will return in the future. staff dealt with the problem with the pasta superbly, so top marks to them for that.

We used to quite like Verona however the last time was quite a disappointment. We went as a family with extended family visiting. One of our guest has dairy and gluten intolerance and we spoke at length to the staff about it. Unfortunately her food was still mixed up and she ended up with a dish with gluten in it as well as dairy (the dish was not even supposed to have dairy in the first place). This led to 3 days of illness out of a 7 days trip. The response from the staff generally was lukewarm at best. Yes the offending dish was removed from the bill and we were offered replacement dishes for the 2 guests concerned (dishes having been swapped) but both having eaten it was a little too late and was declined. I was disappointed that this was the extent of the care we received. When I emailed and received a similar slightly uninterested response i offered to chat on the phone and asked for the matter to be escalated to the owner/director and heard nothing else. Shame as we used to visit regularly enough. Mistakes happen but this was a biggy and I would have liked a bit more attention (all within reason!).
