I need to rave about my spectacular experience at Village Bar & Grill. Initially what drew me to the restaurant was their menu! I could eat most of their menu, but their mixed game burger caught my eye and I had to try it. Upon walking in, reception was friendly and asked if we wanted to sit in the bar or restaurant. We said restaurant and were seated promptly. Upon seating we were greeted by server Ryan S. whose friendliness and positive energy set the tone for a fun, relaxing meal. We got iced tea (one flavored, one regular). Nice, flavorful, and not too sweet. My husband got the braised short rib ragu and I got the mixed game burger with a side salad on a gluten free bun. (I’m gluten free by preference.) I was impressed with Ryan and the cooks attention to detail. He let me know that the burger had some gluten with the onion rings and asked if I wanted croutons. The onion rings for the burger came out on a separate plate. I appreciate the care they put into allergy awareness. The Ragu was so good, rich deep flavor and the bread was crisp. My side salad was yummy, fresh and crunchy and the burger….wow! Great mix of flavors with the sauce and meat. We can’t wait to come back again and try more menu items! My compliments to the cooks, Ryan and the rest of the staff. Great food, service and atmosphere. Will come again! A+++++

Party of 5 stop to eat and have beverages. 1 person in our group has celiac disease. We asked about cross contamination. We were told that every thing was prepared on the same counter.we asked about chips and salsa which they had, but they made their own chips in the same fryer. The waiter went to talk to the peeps in the back, he came back and said that 1 of the people preparing the food has celiac and they eat there all the time and is fine. Well unfortunately we hear that all the time. There is a difference between celiac and gluten tolerance. Anyway the waiter got upset cause we ordered drinks instead of food. He brought the drinks and a few minutes later came by and slapped the ticket on our table and walked off not saying a word. The waiter didn't even come by to ask if we wanted a refill. He was very upset that we didn't order food. 3 out of the 5 were not going to eat since the young man could eat anything. The waiter should be more understanding instead of worrying about his how much tips he's going to make. Customer service goes a long ways with our group. Not this time.
