Set within a modern, light-filled space with direct views of lush gardens and iconic architecture, this café offers a welcoming atmosphere for gluten-free visitors. The vibrant outdoor terrace and inviting interior provide a pleasant setting, though gluten-free options require careful consideration due to cross-contamination concerns.

Loevely place to sit (indoor and outdoor)! We had coffee and cake here. There was a lot of choice, even vegan and gluten free. Beautiful view on the gardens (not the Oudolf garden), the Vitrahaus and Vitra Design Museum.

Update: Thanks for the nice comment. Well, when the cakes are baked in our own bakery, we have been lucky so far that there has been no contamination. Thank you for the honest feedback, even if it is unfortunately rather bad for us. We will still come back, but then just for a coffee 😊 ------------------------------------------------- Today we went to Vitra Kaffee again. We've always had very good experiences so far, but unfortunately that wasn't the case today. My wife and daughter have celiac disease and are therefore forced to eat a strict gluten-free diet. (So it's not a newfangled voluntary decision, it's something you have to do) Otherwise my 5 year old daughter and wife get stomach cramps and have to vomit. Until now it was possible to eat gluten-free cakes. During the last visits, the waitress was well informed and said that the gluten-free cakes were kept in separate display cases. She knew about the allergens. The cakes are also advertised as gluten-free on the signs. Today we wanted to come over to eat cake, but now the gluten-free cake was in the normal glass display case at the front, next to the normal cakes. This means that if crumbs from other cakes or the same cake server are used, the gluten-free cake is contaminated and my wife and daughter are already throwing out crumbs to cause vomiting and stomach ache. We asked the waitress about it, but unfortunately she was very disinterested and paid little attention to it. We even left an information card from the German Celiac Disease Society to find out more about it. In addition, today it would be claimed that all gluten-free cakes come from the same pastry shop already contaminated, which we were not told during our last visit. It's a shame for people who have to live with celiac disease and are already very limited. So far we have been enthusiastic about Vitra coffee. Today my two girls are going home with great disappointment. It's so easy to offer food to people affected by a few rules of kitchen hygiene. Unfortunately it wasn't possible today. A pity.
