Nice restaurant in the center of Leiden. Great service, very fine food and great atmosphere. Even for gluten-free dishes, this is generally not a problem. We would visit again.

Unfortunately a very bad experience at the Waag.
The business looks nice, the kitchen is completely out of sight and it is an old weighing house. It's cozy there.
However, the gluten allergy of one in our party was not handled well. We went to the theater and had a bite to eat in the weigh house beforehand. Not much was possible Gluten Free, but at least something! There must have been some gluten in the sauce, because the person with the allergy immediately suffered. Then I suffered for 18 hours and had to report to work the next day.
So avoid gluten allergy, without it it might be worth a try.
