Waffleton

I am gluten intolerant and had the mochi waffle because it is naturally gluten free and it was amazing! It was crunchy but not dry! Slightly sweet and great portion size for the cost. I also got a house milk tea with boba. I am so happy I found this place and will be back next time I am in Idyllwild.

What a terrible place to visit. I rarely leave negative reviews, but our visit to Waffleton was incredibly disappointing. From the moment we walked in, the man at the register ignored us completely - no greeting, no acknowledgment. When we tried to ask a couple of simple questions about the menu, especially regarding the gluten-free options (which were very important to us due to my 4-year-old daughter's severe gluten allergy), he responded by just pointing at the menu in a condescending way, without saying a word. He seemed distracted and in an awful mood - one that my family and I did not deserve. We chose Waffleton specifically because they offer gluten-free waffles, which seemed like a great option for our family. But the lack of basic courtesy and the dismissive attitude made us feel completely unwelcome. For a place that caters to dietary needs, you'd expect at least a bit of empathy or understanding. We ended up leaving without ordering. It's really unfortunate, because we were excited to try the food - but we won't be returning. If you value basic decency, I would suggest that you avoid this place as well.
