Stopped at Waiahole Poi Factory after visiting Byodo-In Temple in the Valley of the Temples — what a find! The laulau was melt-in-your-mouth good, with succulent fatty pork that reminded me of what is found in Chinese zongzi. The coconut cube jelly was light and smooth, just like 椰子糕. Staff were super friendly and made it feel like home. A must-try if you’re in the area! Special shout out to the handsome guy taking the orders who was very patient with me asking a zillion questions about local cuisine 🌺

Wasn’t a fan of the poi (not my thing, just wanted to try it) but the meats and combo meals were awesome. Kualoa pork was amazing, the luau beef looked…different…but tasted great. Friendly staff with an excellent range of gluten free foods
