Gluten free batter alternative at no additional cost. Well cooked calamari (as this can easily be over cooked and become chewy) Lemon butter grilled fish is some of the best fish I've eaten. Proper "slap chips". I prefer crispy fries, but I am well aware that the fries this places provides, is how it is supposed to be at a fish & chip destination in SA. We've ordered a couple of times here and the GF batter came completely off the calamari on one occasion. Big portions Average waiting time of 10-15 minutes when ordering at 11:30

Some of the best fish and chips you’ll find. We’ve had the hake and chips, calamari and chips and Russian and chips and it was all delicious. The only place I known of that do gluten free batter for both the fish and calamari which is amazing since my wife can’t eat gluten. And the chips is great. Well cooked and crispy. Big portions and the food is tasty. Well worth the money. A must have when you’re in Hermanus. Highly recommend.
