I am gluten-free but not Celiac. They have a few (3-4) pastries that are gluten-free (unsure of the cross contamination status). Most of them were chocolate, which I am also allergic to. So, I wasn't able to get anything to eat. The staff was super nice and I'd love to go again if I lived in Detroit. I had the Genmaicha (green tea with rice toasted into it). It tastes very good, more earthy, and I needed quite a bit of simple syrup. When exiting, I decided to buy the lavender heart meringues because those were also gluten free. They also tasted a bit earthy in addition to the flavoring, but it turns out I don't like meringue anyways so I may be biased. There wasn't a lot of parking in front of the store. About 6-8 parallel parking spots for $1 per hour. Luckily I got a spot, but there weren't many left. There are more spots across the street.

Friendly folks serving up a rotating selection of globally inspired pastries, with grab and go lunch options and a coffee bar, in a minimalist space just off the beaten path between Woodward and Cass. A couple of gluten free options are generally available, including a variety of financiers and a divine chocolate cardamom mousse. Get there early for the best selection!
