I have eaten here twice. The first time = 4 people and delicious food that we all enjoyed, albeit a bit pricey. Delicious crab linguine, tasty boscaiola, nice schnitzel. Worthy of praise and worthy of a return visit. The second visit was not good. Two out of six meals were delivered with errors….they delivered things that weren’t ordered. Our friend with a gluten intolerance was given the wrong meal and there were gluten-coated chips on her plate. As well as that, the salmon dish came with a wedge of lemon that had already been used! Can you believe that? It was a wedge of lemon that was partly brown with age and had been previously clearly squeezed by someone else. The menu promised crispy-skin salmon but that certainly wasn’t what was delivered. Floppy and inedible. The roast potatoes on one person’s place were overcooked, one was burnt and two were hollow! Inedible. How can they get that so wrong? The wait-staff were apologetic and very professional. They could not have been better in their response but nothing made up for the terrible errors that were made by the kitchen staff. As the organiser of our group’s lunch, I was very embarrassed. My caesar salad was delicious, the lobster mornay was well-received and another person enjoyed a salad (I don’t remember which salad). Steaks were pricey and overcooked but both steak eaters said they were tasty. Prices are quite high here but, on this occasion, what we got was certainly not worth it. I will not go back after this experience.
