Watervale Hotel - Ethical Epicurean Experiences

Had an amazing lunch here this weekend, with some of the best customer service I have ever received. We arrived dripping wet after being unexpectedly caught in rain showers on our bikes, and must have looked like drowned rats - but not an eyebrow was raised. In fact, the owner went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and taken care of. The food was excellent, with our diverse vegetarian, gluten free and allergy needs taken care of. The asparagus risotto in particular was beautiful, an incredible amount of flavour. I enjoyed the half glasses of wine which enabled me to try more delicious options! I can’t wait to return.

This was an excellent culinary experience! I wish we were able to do a farm tour without having to do the six-course degustation as we couldn't afford it, but the overall restaurant experience made up for it. The service was excellent and the food was even better! Truly one of the best meals I've had - coming from a fussy eater! They were wonderful at catering for coeliacs and made it worth the money! Thank you, more of a reason for us to come back to Clare.
