We were very excited to try this place since they had good reviews for the gluten free waffles and pancakes.
PROS: Gluten free waffle was great! A bit dense, but still good (GF is currently +$2.50, real maple syrup is also +$2.50, and fruit topping is +$3.00). Sausage patties were excellent Decent lattes (bizarrely the small only comes with one shot of espresso??). Decor is nice, cheery place. Atmosphere was good, outdoor seating as well. And a nice separate outdoor area where you can sit & wait to be seated.
CONS: Not fully staffed, resulting in long waits and employees doubling up on responsibilities (and on a Saturday morning of all times!). Due to this, harder for staff to be friendly (they weren't). We are not traditionally picky, both of us have been servers in the past, but noticeably lackluster service. As former wait staff, we picked up on things that made it clear this started from the top down. So essentially, management isn't good & has not created a good work atmosphere. Chick-fil-A proves it can be done lol 😉.
No order comes with maple syrup included (only aunt Jemima style fake syrup). +$2.25 for a tiny container of real maple syrup which was kinda lame imo.
