Hit me in the nostalgia with all the feels.. The photos around make it easy to relate to some memories of days long gone by. It wasn't clubby, there wasn't a pounding rhythm.. I could have a conversation without shouting. Service was as expected, pleasant and informative. Not rushed, not slow. The food was amazingly good.. The steak skewers were the softest ever and full of juicy flavor. Had the broccolini, and was pleasantly surprised.. The right amount of smoke and sauce balanced well. The BBQ bacon cheeseburger took me back 40 years, and even though I've rarely had burgers this good, it reminded me so much of being at family picnics. Had the gluten free brownie, and it was actually a real chocolate brownie.. not some dry flavorless mass. The various elements balanced perfectly across the meal. The only thing I would ask for is an amber beer or porter. Pilsners are definitely backyard, but sometimes a darker beer is good, right? A great local find, worth a repeat trip to try the dry aged steaks next time.

A quick experience. The steak was made gluten free by omitting the butter. The mashed were good. However, for the price of the steak you would expect there to be some other veg with the meat.
