I was blown away by the food here. We had the shrimp and grits, a flatbread with the gluten-free crust, and a charcuterie board. That first bite of the shrimp and grits, wow… if I had died right after, I would have been ok with that, it was that amazing. The flat bread was packed with toppings and flavor, and the charcuterie board has this amazing vinegary bacon jam that is to die for. I enjoyed their cucumber collins with my meal and it was perfectly refreshing, a beautiful cocktail for a late lunch. The service by RJ was 5-stars.
I docked a star because the place needs a good scrub down… it’s just dirty in there. Not the tables or utensils, but the surfaces and bathrooms, the carpet when you walked in. I don’t know of this is what gives the place a musky spell or it’s just that it’s an old building. This almost made me walk out, but at the end, I’m glad I stayed.
