Got their Gluten free chocolate chip muffin and Chocolate brownies and wasn't what I expected. It was almost TOO chocolaty and the chips were chunky. I'm sure there were other items that didn't overwhelm you with 1 item...sometimes you want to have a bit more muffin or brownies with your chocolate.

My partner recently picked up a confetti cake from Westtown Bakery. He wasn’t told it was vegan, and there was no clear signage in the store indicating that either. When I looked at their website afterward, it mentioned “vegan options,” which suggests there should be a choice. Their online menu even lets you select between regular, gluten-free, or vegan confetti cake. If that’s the case, customers buying in person should be given that same clarity. I reached out for more information and was met with a very matter-of-fact and dismissive tone. They told me this is what they’re known for, but that isn’t communicated in their branding or store setup. This isn’t Vaca’s Creamery, where everything is clearly labeled vegan and that’s the whole identity of the business. The cake itself was extremely dry and unpleasant. I’ve had plenty of vegan baked goods that tasted much better, so that’s not the issue. The lack of transparency and poor customer service are what really left a bad impression. After some digging, I found out they’re part of The Fifty/50 group, which honestly tracks. That group never had a great reputation for customer experience, and The Fifty/50 is now closed. I wouldn’t be surprised if Westtown heads in the same direction if this is how they treat people.
