The food here is wonderful! This is a great local bar, great for sports and decent beers. The chicken is gluten free and delightful. The burgers are outstanding, cooked and seasoned well, the bun holds it all together and at a decent price point also. Very generous portion of lightly crispy fries also.

I'm a huge fan of the White Cockatoo and have been coming here for years but the food has gotten worse and worse to the point that I usually just skip it now and have a beer instead. The menu hasn't been updated in ages, everything is almost there but not quite. Pasta isn't seasoned properly, the gluten free options aren't filling, they should serve mash with schnitzels but don't, the specials stay up for way too long and it's always just a riff on salmon anyway. It's a real sham because this is my local and I support it in every other way except when it comes to the food!
