White Horse

Glad Google has asked me to leave a review because it means I did book a table, The White Horse said I didn’t. I used to love this pub but clearly Friday night was not their night. We arrived and waited over 10 minutes for anyone to even acknowledge us. The woman behind the bar was on her own and trying to serve several customers. The waitress must have been new and told me I didn’t have a booking but sat us at one of the four or five empty tables and disappeared never to return. My friend is gluten intolerant so we searched the menu for gluten free dishes but there appeared to be none, there was no one around to ask. We didn’t see any food on the other four occupied tables. We waited over fifteen minutes and realised this was not going to work and the evening would be more frustrating than enjoyable, so we left!! I think the main problem was they were very short staffed and just couldn’t cope. Completely unprofessional. Probably won’t be returning any time soon.

I have just managed to have Gluten Free Beer and the biggest Gluten free burger and chips, this is a very hard find in the sussex Surrey area, and to top it off it’s was delicious and affordable!!! A win win, can’t recommend this place highly enough, hubby had pork belly and all I can say is wow!
