I recently stayed here, and it was an incredible experience! The staff were friendly and attentive, making sure every detail of my stay was perfect. The room was clean, comfortable, and beautifully designed, offering a relaxing atmosphere. The hotel's location was ideal, with easy access to local attractions and dining options. I particularly enjoyed the free hot breakfast, which featured a wide variety of fresh and delicious options & accommodated those of us with food allergies like gluten & dairy. I will say the only negatives is the expensive pricetag to stay here & to eat here. Also, my previous stay (pre-covid) they had a free s'mores station stocked with full unopened hersheys chocolate bars, full sized graham crackers, & large marshmallows, this time, they give what they call "s'mores kit" which consists of a tiny 1 serving bag a graham cracker, 3 or 4 pieces of a bar, & 1 little marshmallow-> just enough for 1 s'more in one bag, for free. It was most unimpressive as was their Ice cream parlor on Fridays & Saturdays which are not free at all. The ice cream parlor seems to cater more towards little children rather than all ages. No banana splits or hot sundaes (they had a sundae option which was cold, & it was only a tiny squirt of hersheys syrup) also, they did not have dairy-free options. For the price you pay to stay, these little things like s'mores & ice cream parlors should be above average in quality & quantity & included in the price. Being nickel & dimed is completely off-putting. Overall, Whiteface Lodge is still a great hotel, and I can't wait to return. Highly recommended still!
