When I do my shopping at the Whole Foods in Capitola, I grab a vegan tuna salad and a Zevia from the prepared foods section for lunch. This has been a long-standing routine. Today, I grabbed my items and left. When I opened and started eating the salad, after a few bites, I noticed it tasted slightly different, so I looked at the ingredients and saw the first ingredient was "chick'n" made of wheat gluten. There was nothing at the display to indicate that they had made a change. Unfortunately, now I will have to live through two weeks of suffering until the gluten clears from my body. Whole Foods needs to understand that mindless switcheroos like that can have huge detrimental effects on a person's health. Something as simple as a "new" sticker or sign would have signaled to me that a change had been made and to re-check ingredients. So, not only am I disappointed about this change, but I'm going to be in a decent amount of suffering this week for my son's HS graduation.
