Wild Oats draws a loyal — and largely older — crowd, many of whom don’t seem fazed by high prices or the midday crush.
The food ranges from excellent to forgettable (weak coffee, stale bread, gluten-free cake best left uneaten). Choose with care.
Arrive after noon and you may find some soup pots nearly empty — but rest assured, you’ll still be charged for a full bowl, even if you could only fill it halfway. (No discounts!)
Water and napkins are free, as is the plastic cutlery — though it struggles with certain pies (bring your own).
Parking is often scarce.
