Great food and great Gluten Free choice's

Assuming the gentleman who sat us down was the manager as he seemed to lead the team a little. I was sat opposite the bar, the woman who was serving, clearing etc was constantly at the bar messing around with the bartender, who had great manners. They were hitting each other with towels and messing around which ruined the atmosphere. Overhearing conversations, one was the bartender had put two shots of alcohol instead of one and they laughed it off. That’s can be a serious issue. I had the same cocktail that they were discussing, not to mention stock control. I asked for my starter with no chilis and it came with chillis so my partner ate it. I have celiac disease, I did ask for the “non gluten option”. I assume the manager got his allergens confused as he said I couldn’t eat the pesto on my pizza so when it arrived with pesto and I questioned it he did say he’d made a mistake and I can eat it. Not once was I asked what I’m allergic to or cannot eat. My food was standard as expected for a chain restaurant. The toilets were filthy, disgusting toilet brushes, rusty taps, dust everywhere which carried on into the restaurant on the lampshades etc for a quiet restaurant I’d expect better. The staff had good manners but as soon as they stepped away from the table it’s as if they forgot they were at work. I’d expect the staff to be professional 100% of the time on shift. Presentation with food was good but I had two cocktails and the second ones appearance was very different. Double the size, no garnish as my first did have. Ending my review I would suggest the staff need more consistency and training to drive growth.
