Met a local friend for dinner here while in town for a conference. Does not disappoint. Started with the fried mild banana peppers, which were phenomenal. No idea what breading or oil they use, but the best I’ve had. We also had the Hot brown (must try turkey, ham, white cheddar mornay, local bacon & tomato concoction that you can only eat half of), 10-ounce delmonico steak, and Kentucky Cobb. You order at the counter and they bring it out to you, so all hot, unfussy, and tasty. We didn’t have any dessert but they did have some really unbelievable items, including giant gluten free brownies. Excellent food, lots of local favorites, great local charm and service. Look for the white horse in the front, otherwise you may think it’s just another farmhouse along the road of many others. Highly recommend.

I ate here not long ago and was very pleased. The barbecue pulled pork sandwich I had was very good. I eat gluten free by choice. I was very pleased to see that they offer a wheat free bun. Though on reflection it does not say gluten free specifically. I ordered fries and the person taking my order alerted me to the fact that they are cooked in the same oil as other items containing wheat. Not a problem for me, but something to note for those who eat wheat free by necessity. The pulled pork was among the better I have had around here. It definitely puts some of the bigger names to shame (Cough Sonny's cough). The bun was very good. Soft and tasty. I have had plenty of dense wheat free breads. The fries were very good and crisp with a nice sprinkling of coarse grain salt. The view out the windows would be hard to beat. If you are partial to pastoral scenes and beautiful countryside you will get them here. Overall a great experience. I look forward to coming back to test out other options.
