Wirtshaus am Dom Würzburg

Typical Franconian restaurant, welcoming, with a beautiful Central European atmosphere, a stone's throw from the Duomo. The staff was very very kind. One of us is celiac and they tried to help us in every way. We had chosen the place because the possibility of gluten-free dishes was indicated, but in reality the choice is really limited (salad, cooked cheese or a plate of tagliatelle with "minced meat sauce" which we did not try), as in most of the places where we ate in Bavaria. We opted for various traditional local dishes, in addition to the more famous schnitzel. All very good and plentiful. Prices are average. Advised.

Typical inn, rustic atmosphere and matching interior. Food absolutely delicious. From starters to dessert, no wish is left unfulfilled. The separate gluten-free menu was only brought out upon request - a shame, because it doesn't need to be hidden.
