Came for the quiz night at a weird time of 6pm - this time makes it hard to get there on time after work, pub is full on a Friday night making it really hard to hear, and it means trying to eat and do the quiz night concurrently which is a challenge. I had the chicken burger - which was two obviously frozen chicken tenders in a cold and mushy bun with bacon barely cooked. I had to eat with a knife and fork as everything was falling apart. Chips were also cold. Tasteless and disappointing compared to the previous chicken burgers we used to get here. Hubby ordered the garlic prawns - tasteless and small , again compared to previous times here under different owners the serving was small - mainly rice and much fewer prawns. One of the people in our group is gluten free and ended up with no food as gluten free can no longer be guaranteed. Again with the previous owners and menu there was always something she could choose but last night - nothing. Service was good at the table but had to wait around ten minutes at the bar for drinks as the 2 staff were under the pump with a full pub. This used to be our local and we came each week for the Thursday night quiz night. Since the new owners took over we have only been twice. And both times very disappointed - mainly with the food but the quiz night timing just doesn’t work for us anymore.

Have been here a few times with no issue about coeliac safe food. Not this time. I was served a bowl of lettuce with a couple of tiny shreds of bacon, a sprinkling of dried Parmesan and smothered in mayonnaise. Needless to say it didn’t get eaten. Absolutely appalling Woodbridge
